RIP & CREATE

Paul van Trigt is an artist and experimental noise musician based in Victoria BC Canada.
Working in analog/mixed media collage, photocopy manipulation, and printmaking to layer, repurpose and deconstruct. Utilizing vintage images from medical textbooks, military, nature, and architecture books he works through the ideas of paranoia, anxieties and depressions while reflecting on the larger human experience. The contrast of beautiful and clinical imagery with the degraded photocopied images questions what is perfect and imperfect.

His artwork can be seen on over 100 album covers in experimental and extreme music genres such as noise and industrial, metal, and punk. His work has been featured in local galleries and international zines.
